UV301D PLUS PORTABLE UV LIGHT FLASHLIGHT

Use this light for tying flies for fishing. This light cures UV resin almost instantly. The batteries have lasted a LONG time compared to other UV lights I’ve used. Great buy!

I’ve tried a number of UV flashlights that claim to be 365nm, but are a waste of money. This compact UV flashlight delivers the goods, and has a well focused beam. There’s very little white light compared to other 365nm flashlights in the same price range.

I bought this light for inspection purposes. I needed a 365nm light to inspect for dust in semiconductor mini-environments. It worked great for this purpose — highlighting dust much better than cheaper 395nm UV lights. But I was very surprised at how well it highlighted scorpions. I took it outside at night and found 13 scorpions on the first night and 7 more the second night — and I didn’t even know I had scorpions in my yard (Phoenix, AZ)! Scorpions light up like beacons under this bright light. I had no problems with the end cap as mentioned in one review. I suppose if you’re turning the light on and off every minute or so for an 8-hour shift then maybe adjusting the brightness every time you turn it on might get annoying. But I just turned it on, adjusted to max brightness, and left it that way — and I had no problems with it. Practically every LED light works this way. It should go without saying that this light is useless in bright daylight (or any kind of bright condition). It works best in complete darkness. It “kind of” works in dim light conditions.

Very bright for its size

Impressive. Exceeded my expectations. So far very good battery life. Slim style fits easily in backpack pocket. Comfortable grip. Beam is quite directional and bright. If I had to do purchase again, I would buy it again.

Took on a camping trip and went spotting along the river bank at night and saw all kinds of neat things, found a couple florescent rocks and some insects that lit up really bright, everyone thought it was really neat

I was skeptical about this product, but after using it I would reccomend it. It really lights up anything fluorescent and you can find some pretty nasty stuff you didn’t even know was there. Pet urine is kind of hard to find but it does work and my house is cleaner now! Especially the walls in the kitchen.
Aoba Haruna –
Great light for checking minerals and also stain detection. Highly recommend.

It is what it says. With a Li ion battery it’s very bright. The peak wavelength is indeed 365nm as measured with an Ocean Optics red tide UV spectrometer. You’ll see some interesting fluorescence of you some it on rocks.

Lightweight and perfect for pocket and quick use in the ER. Exactly what I was wanting and looking for.
